Very Rare French Military Model 1733 Heavy Dragoon Flintlock Holster Pistol w/original belt hook, c.1733 Made at the St. Etienne Arsenal. 12.25" .67-70 cal. steel barrel w/remnants of PROOF mark on the left side of breech. Lock marked; w/a 'CROWN' over 'S E' (St. Etienne) over 'JOURJON'. Original flint. Correct brass regulation furniture of 1733 pattern that has a very pleasing mustard patina. Important to note that during the period of use, the upper brass ram rod pipe has been removed and the original wood ram rod has been replaced by a steel captive ram rod. 18.75" overall length. In good working order. A very important pistol that could have seen service in the French and Indian War and the American Revolutionary War...
