A wonderful antique Miniature painting of KING Friedrich der Grasse , (Frederick The Great), Frederick II King of Prussia with the frame dated; "1779". The reverse side of the frame is covered in a period green silk fabric with an old hand written tag; "37913, Friedrich der Grasse". The frame has some minor cracks/loses expected with an item of this age.

Fredrich der Grasse (King Frederick II of Prussia) was born in January 24, 1712 and died August 17, 1786. Reigned as King of Prussia, 1740-1786., of the Hohenzollern Dynasty, prince-elector of the Holy Roman Empire, was Frederick IV of Brandenburg and became known as FREDERICH THE GREAT, KING OF PRUSSIA.
