A Fine Large Antique German or Austrian Flintlock Horse Pistol, circa. 1690-1720. 10 3/8" .58 cal. octagon-to-round blued iron barrel (approx. 30% original blue remains), engraved, w/decorative silver inlay in the form of flowing scrolls and a woman's image. Wonderful chiseled high-relief engraved lock plate depicting hunters with dogs chasing running deer. Very nice engraved high-relief brass furniture w/grotesque faced butt mask cap. Stock is solid w/ high-relief carving around the barrel tang and checkered panels at wrist, horn fore-end cap, w/light scratches and dings from years of handling. In good working order.
