Two George Washington Bicentennial Related Items.. 1. 1932, a 12 x 9” printed guide book, in wraps, 58 pages, published by the “United States George Washington Bicentennial Commission Washington, D.C.” (form No. 15, Second Edition, January 28, 1932), Choice Very Fine. The guide book sets forth 12 different programs that patriotic societies, clubs, schools, etc. might wish to put on during the national celebration of Washington's bicentennial. Titles of programs include: “George Washington The Man of Sentiment”, “George Washington The Christian” and “The Social Life of George Washington.” Foxing on the cover and last page, minor water stain on front cover; otherwise fine. 2. Together with a 12.5” x 9.5” piece of sheet music (one page, front and back) by the famous George M. Cohan, titled “Father of the Land We Love”, Choice Very Fine. The song was also written to commemorate Washington's bicentennial. Minor tear at bottom, and edge split on horizontal fold on left side; else fine.
