A Rare (PAIR) of French Flintlock Holster Pistols, circa. 1680-1730 made in the Dutch form. 12" .52 cal. smoothbore barrels w/chiseled relief breech. Locks are signed 'DIEUDONNE, ANGOLESME' w/fine engraved details. Both pistols are in original flint. Fine iron furniture includes pierced serpent side plates. The high quality walnut stocks are nicely carved w/raised molded areas around all parts, solid w/areas of period repairs/fill w/light scratches and dings from years of handling. In good working order.
