A Fine Antique German Silver Mounted German Flintlock Holster Pistol by; I. CHRISTOPH KUCHENREITER, circa. 1740-1770. 10'' .48 cal. iron barrel struck on the top flat w/maker's cartouche lined in gold, inlaid w/silver decoration and maker's name; 'I. CHRISTOPH KUCHENREITER'. Lock engraved w/maker's name. Silver furniture. Set trigger. Stock has wonderful decorative high relief carving and horn muzzle cap w/an age crack through the end of the fore-end just in front of the silver entry ram rod pipe, otherwise solid w/scratches and dings from years of service. 16'' overall. A very fine pistol in good working order.
