French Military Artillery cartridge or fuse bandolier for the Heavy Cannon/Artillery Corp, circa. late 18th century - early 19th century. May have seen service in the Napoleonic Wars. The reverse of box has a hand painted museum inventory #24905. Heavy tared leather construction w/faded black velvet lining. All funiture is gilt copper, bronze or brass w/40% gilding remaining. A very scarce example in untouched condition.
