An Antique War of 1812 U.S. military New York State contract model 1812 Flintlock musket made by WHITNEY, "NEW HAVEN”, circa. 1808-1812.   42", .69 caliber barrel struck with "S.N.Y." (State of New York).  All steel furniture is lightly pitted (some areas worse than others).  The lock is maker marked "N. HAVEN" (New Haven, Connecticut).  "E G" is stamped on the top of the butt plate.  The stock is stamped "11" behind the barrel tang, an oval inspector's car-touche just behind the rear lock screw, other inspector marks at the lower portion of the trigger guard, is solid with scratches,dings and staining from handling.  In good mechanical working order. 

NOTE; The musket has been re-converted from percussion back to flintlock (very well done and hard to notice).
