An Antique Civil War US military contract model 1816 Flintlock musket, circa. 1816-1830's. Converted to percussion for the Civil War. 42", .69 caliber barrel struck with US Proof marks on the upper breech (remnants can be seen if one looks hard enough). All steel furniture has dark rust age patina and pitted (some areas worse than others). The lock does not have any visible markings. The stock is solid with heavy scratches,dings and staining from handling. In good mechanical working order.
