A Rare Antique American Remington Vest Pocket Single Shot Pistol a.k.a. "Saw Handle Deringer", circa. 1865-1888. Rare .38 caliber. 4" barrel. Salt & Pepper surface rust pitting overall. Split breech type action. Walnut grips with scratches and dings from handling. Marked on the top flat of barrel "REMINGTON'S. ILION, N.Y./PATD. OCT. 1, 1861. NOV. 15, 1864." In good mechanical working order. A good example.
