An Extremely Rare Antique CIVIL WAR CONFEDERATE Cartridge Box, dated 1863. Made by S. S. COTTRELL & CO., C. S. ARSENAL/ RICHMOND 1863. Maker marked on the outside front flap and 2 times on the interior flap. The cartridge box has the interior insert. The shoulder strap circular chest plate/medallion is unfortunately missing. The overall condition is excellent for the age.
