Antique European (maybe French Napoleonic War) Short Sword, circa. early 19th century. 18.75" double-edge blade (unmarked). Solid brass one-piece guard with grip has a dark yellow to olive color age patina and is stamped. Leather scabbard with brass furniture.

Note; The form is similar to the ancient Roman Gladius sword.
