A Wonderful Silver Mounted Ottoman Empire Barbary Coast Turkish Flintlock Holster Pistol, circa. 18th century. 13.5", .64 caliber steel barrel with decorative gold overlay (Koftgary). Very thick and heavy decorative silver elements set with red coral and Niello. Steel trigger guard. Engraved lock. The pistol is in its original flintlock configuration. 21" overall length. The wood stock has decorative carving, a chip missing from the front of lock mortise, a crack just under the front of the lock, scratches and light dings from years of handling. In good mechanical working order. A beautiful flintlock pistol !
