An Antique Civil War US military contract model 1816 Flintlock musket made by “L POMEROY”, 1837. Converted to Percussion for the Civil War. 42", .69 caliber barrel struck with US Proof marks on the upper breech. All steel furniture. The lock has areas of salt and pepper rust pitting. The stock is solid with scratches,dings and staining from handling. The inspector's cartouche is crisp. In good mechanical working order.
Barrel has the wood tompion.
