A Fine And Rare British/American Revolutionary War Period Flintlock Pistol by KETLAND & Co.

A Fine and Rare Antique British/American Colonial Flintlock Pistol of military form, circa. 1770's.  8", .60 caliber steel barrel with remnants of early oval proof and view marks.  All brass furniture includes a rather unique butt cap with a long finial and a side plate in the same form as the British Military Short Land Pattern 2nd model Brown Bess Flintlock Musket.  The round face lock is maker engraved "KETLAND & Co."  The stock is solid and beautiful with light scratches and dings from years of service.  The pistol remains in its original flintlock configuration.  Wood ram rod (may be the original).  A wonderful example in good mechanical working order that may have seen action in the American Revolutionary War as well as the War or 1812 !

Restoration:  The cock has been replaced with an original antique (most likely American Colonial) hand made example that works very well.
