NOTE; Almost all of the Model 1816 flintlock muskets produced were converted to percussion for the Civil War.  This is a rare survivor in wonderful condition.  We have had several examples of this contractor's 1816 muskets but all were converted to percussion.  This is the first we have encountered in its original flintlock configuration.

About the contractor to the State of New Jersey W. T. WICKHAM, Philadelphia, PA.  Produced approx. 16,600 flintlock muskets between 1822-1837.  This musket is the early variety with W. T. WICKHAM / PHILA in an arch under the pan.
