A Fine British Royal Navy brass barrel flintlock Sea Service Ships swivel blunderbuss (Espingole) by; "BRANDER & POTTS", LONDON, circa. 1780-1798. 22.25" octagon to round brass blunderbuss barrel w/cannon muzzle and marked w/(2) Tower private proofs and the barrel makers mark; "*" over "MM". Brass regulation Sea Service pattern furniture. Stock is solid w/normal period scratches and dings from years of service. The wrought iron post and yoke is a replacement. 38.75" overall length. In wonderful untouched condition and in good working order.
