An Antique German Military Model 1809 Flintlock Musket converted to percussion for the Civil War. Standard pattern brass furniture, butt-plate dated "1830" and "1845". 41" .74 cal. smooth-bore barrel. The stock was broken through the wrist area and fixed long ago, is missing a few edge chips from around the lock, scratches and dings from years of service. No visible markings remain on the lock, in good mechanical working order. All steel surfaces have salt and pepper pitting (some areas worse than others). The #"57" is stamped on may of the parts.
NOTE: These muskets were imported by North and the South during the Civil War.
