Wonderful War of 1812 US Flintlock Martial Pistol;
A Rare uncleaned Antique American US Navy Model 1808 Contract Flintlock Ship's Pistol by Simeon North of Berlin, Connecticut, contractor to the United States Government. TOTAL produced; 3,000, circa.1808-1810. 10 1/8" .68 cal. round iron unmarked barrel. Lock marked; with "AMERICAN FEDERAL EAGLE", "U. STATES". Standard brass furniture of the pattern. Stock is solid with old stress crack repairs to stock at the butt cap, left and, right side of fore-end, with light scratches and dings from years of service. A very rare US flintlock martial pistol in good working order. 17" overall.
Note; This pistol was professionally reconverted/restored using original period parts except the frizzen.
