A Rare British Royal Navy Sea Service Flintlock Pistol Captured by U.S. and Reissued. The Pistol is a British pattern 1777 Royal Navy Sea Service Pistol. Captured by U.S. forces where the British Government ownership marks were removed and re-stamped 'CP' (Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, act of 1797). Marked and dated on the tail of the lock plate. An Eagle's Head and U.S. stamped in front of the cock. Standard 12" steel barrel. Very rare pistol !
