A Massive French & Indian - American Revolutionary War Period Flintlock Wall Gun
A Very Impressive & Massive Antique Flintlock Wall Gun, circa. 1740-1760; most likely Dutch. Heavy 45.25", 1.5" smooth-bore octagon-to-round barrel with fixed swivel post mount; (heavy pitting from exposure to the elements). Huge unmarked 8 6/8" lock of Dutch form. Steel trigger guard of gigantic proportions. Steel side plate and barrel band at muzzle. No butt plate or ram rod. The stock is solid with scratches and dings from years of service. The gun is in its original flintlock configuration and is in good mechanical working order. 65.5" overall. An awesome weapon...
