A Good Antique Dutch Flintlock Holster Pistol by PHILIPPE DE SELIER, Liege, 1700-1710.  13.75", .64 cal. iron barrel with applied decorative engraved brass sections with maker's name 'PHILIPPE DE SELIER'; struck with (3) maker cartouches.  Lock is maker signed 'PHILIPPE DE SELIER'; has an applied sheet facing of brass with decorative engraving on the face of the lock plate, cock, top jaw and top jaw screw.  Wonderful worked and engraved brass furniture.  The stock is solid with areas of decorative high relief carving; some stress cracks, loses, scratches and dings from years of service.  Original wood ram rod. The pistol is all original and is in its original flintlock configuration.  21" overall length.  A fine example of a famous maker in good mechanical working order.
