A Good Antique Japanese Gun Powder Flask, circa. 18th-early 19th century. The flask is made of turned wood with a stopper and powder measure made of bamboo. The flask measures 4.5" high x 2.5" in circumference, 5" high overall with the stopper. These flasks are seldom encountered.
Note: This is the type of gun powder flask used with the Japanese "Tanegashima" matchlock gun.
