A Fine European Flintlock Holster Pistol
A Fine Antique European Flintlock Pistol, circa. 1720 - 1730. 12", .66 cal. worked steel barrel with remnants of decorative engraving. Lock has decorative engraving and signed 'VIENA' (may be Vienna, Austria ?). The pistol is in its original flintlock configuration. Wonderful worked brass furniture including a fantastic face of a man with a massive mustache. The stock is of beautiful root wood with areas of raised decoration; light scratches and dings from years of handling. Brass tipped wood ram rod. A great looking pistol that is in good mechanical working order. 19" overall.
Note: the lower ram rod pipe finial has been repair long ago with a replaced piece of worked brass.
