Cased Pair of Box-Lock Percussion Belt Pistols by RICHARDSON, CORK w/Accessories
An exceptional cased (PAIR) of Percussion Belt Pistols by, "RICHARDSON, CORK" w/accessories circa, 1835-1845. 3.25", .50 cal. steel octagon barrels with Birmingham proof marks and captive ram-rods mounted on an under mounted rib. Each pistol has a side mounted steel belt hook. All steel parts are engraved and case hardened retaining approx. 95-98% original fire blue and case hardened finish. Side mounted percussion hammers. Stocks are in excellent to near factory new condition with exceptional micro checkering and each has a silver oval wrist escutcheon. Pistols are 8.5" overall length and in good working order. The pictures do not do these pistols justice. They are fantastic ! The original period box has brass corners, reinforcing stripes, a single swing hook in the front, and a decorative brass escutcheon in the center of the lid. The interior of the box has been professionally restored/re-lined in the correct English green baize. Accessories include: bullet mold, pewter oil bottle, (2) "ELEYS" cap tins with caps, additional ram-rod with cleaning jag/ball puller, balls, wads, and a wonderful (3) compartment "SYKES" powder flask.
