A Good Pair of Saddle Bags
A Good Antique Pair of Saddle Bags, circa. late 19th - early 20th century. This pattern conforms to the United States Military Cavalry patterns produced in the 1880's - the U.S. pattern 1917 used in World War I. Brown leather construction with white fabric inserts. Leather is supple with some tares, scratches and dings from years of handling but in good overall condition.
NOTE - It is my opinion that the saddle bags have had some restoration at the center where a thicker and stronger piece of leather was added for re-enforcement.
