English Box-Lock Flint Pistol, TURVEY, LONDON.

An Antique English box-lock flint pistol by; "TURVEY, LONDON", circa. 1765-1770's. 2.25", .45 cal. three-stage round steel barrel with cannon muzzle. Steel frame marked with (2) Tower proofs and the barrel maker's mark; "*". Stock has decorative silver wire inlay in the shape of a shell and is sound with a mended break, scratches and dings from years of service. All steel has salt and pepper pitting and erosion. In good working mechanical order.
