A Rare antique Scottish Sinclair Saber, circa. 1580-1610. 31.5" hatchet end blade engraved on the ricasso w/a side view of a Nobleman's head wearing a hat and "Solido Gloria", Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God alone)? Hand forged Hilt w/(4) punched out hearts & diamond shape punched out center. Pyramidal pommel. Swept qullions. Twisted and braided brass wire grip w/turks heads. 36.5" overall length w/salt and pepper pitting through-out. A very rare sword in fine condition for the age.

Note; Blade edge has impact marks from contact w/other swords during the period of use.
