An Untouched Antique American Military Pattern 1837 AMES PEACE powder flask, dated 1846, 'N P AMES'. Some minor dings and dents but sound. Retains both original triangular handing hoops. Type used during the Mexican-American War and in the Civil War.
This powder flask is in 'attic/as found' condition. The thumb gate lever is partially broken and the gate is frozen. No attempt has been made to restore this flask and it retains a dark age patina.
Good seams.
No splits.
Measures: 8.75" overall length including spout.
