European Closed Helmet

A wonderful Italian Closed Helm (Helmet) circa. 16th-early 17th century (may be a very good Victorian copy).  Overall 12.5" high.  Made of (3) hand hammered segment facial guards; lower neck/chin with rolled rope edge, center face and upper visor.  Skull is made of (2) hand hammers sections with attached lower neck lame also with rolled rope edge. Light gauge, not siege weight.  Very pleasing dark untouched age patina.  Missing the hook that would have been mounted on the right side to secure the lower neck/chin guard.  A classic form and very desirable.
