A Wonderful Antique Civil War Period COLT Military Model 1860 ARMY Percussion Revolver made to accept an attaching shoulder stock and retains an original leather holster circa, SN#53390 all matching (Early 1862). 8", .44 cal. round steel barrel with military inspector's mark, blue and case hardened (approx. 50%+ Fading original blue remains and 50%+ case hardening colors remain) with "-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT, NEW YORK U.S. AMERICA-" on the top with areas of light salt & pepper pitting (some areas worse than others) especially around the cylinder's percussion nipples and on side of cylinder from the holster. Brass trigger guard and steel back-strap with approx. 75% original blue with military inspector's marks. Frame marked; "COLTS PATENT" on the left side. 6-Shot round cylinder with approx. 80% of the visible scene remaining. The barrel wedge is original and has matching numbers to the gun. One piece walnut grip with visible military inspector's cartouches in overall good condition with approx. 50% original varnish remaining, minor edge chip missing from the right lower edge and light scratches and dings from years of handling and intentionally made notches (kill record?). Screw heads are in excellent condition exhibiting strong original blue finish. The action is in excellent mechanical working order. An excellent original Civil War Colt with the correct leather holster that is difficult to find in this condition.

The period leather holster exhibits crazing deterioration, missing the flap strap and some of the stitching has separated otherwise, in good shape for the age.
