Antique Victorian Period Miniature Suit of Armor
An Antique Victorian Period Miniature Suit of Armor. 12.5” tall overall. Very good quality fluted armor in the style of the late 16th century. The suit has a shield and a sword and stands on a round wood plinth. The Victorian period (1837-1901) had a huge Gothic revival for interior décor for the wealthy. Mansions and castles were decorated with all sorts of medieval weapons and suits of armor of all sizes. Original antique arms & armor were in short supply resulting in a few companies producing very high quality copies to fill the demand which are now very collectible antiques. A great little suit of armor ready for display.
