A Good Antique Ottoman Empire Flintlock Sash Pistol, circa. 18th century. 12.5", .68 caliber smooth-bore steel barrel with decorative engraving. The round-faced banana shaped lock has an unidentified makers signature. The pistol is in its original flintlock configuration. The wood stock is covered in sheet brass with decorative engraving. Steel ram rod and trigger guard. 20" overall length. A nice pistol in good mechanical working order.
Note: This form of flintlock pistol was prized by the Barbary Coast Pirates.
