American Full Stock Flintlock Kentucky / Pennsylvania Long Rifle, circa. 1815. 45", .56 cal. deep rifled large bore octagon barrel (unsigned). Brass furniture with nice patch-box and side plate; simple steal trigger guard (may be a period replacement). Set triggers. Lock marked 'M. M. MARTIN' ?, 'WARRANTED'. The rifle is in it's original flintlock configuration. Tiger maple full stock with loses at upper edge of the right side of fore-end near muzzle, a small chip and crack on the left side, and loses at the toe of butt; scratches, dings, minor cracks and heavy wear from years of handling. Nice dark age patina. In good mechanical working order. A great looking rifle !
Note; The pan has burned through (see photo). The frizzen was re-faced during the period of use. The ram rod has been professionally replaced.
