Both pistols are in their original flintlock configuration. The locks are decorated to match the barrel and maker signed C. NICOLIN. The fantastic all brass furniture is worked and engraved with the trigger guards, long-eared butt caps, wrist escutcheons, and side plates having applied Silver high-relief human busts. High quality 'root' wood full stocks with original varnish were made in (2) pieces with high-relief boarder carving and patterned around the barrel tangs; both are solid with some minor loses; stress cracks, scratches and dings from years of service. Steel ram rods. Both pistols had belt hooks that were removed long ago. The pistols are in good mechanical working order. They measure: 19.5" overall. A beautiful pair of flintlock holster pistols !
