This product is unavailable
A Rare English Civil War Period British or Nuremberg, German Military 'Lobster Tail' (Zischagge) Helmet/Pot, circa. 1630. Two piece hand hammered angled skull w/areas of age de-lamination. (4) graduating back neck lames w/rolled edges. The original protective ear scales are intact. Visor has the remnants of the 'CROWN' over 'IR' mark of the Tower of London Arsenal inspector under King James II (many of these helmets are known to have this mark worn through because the mark was struck so hard). Original elevating nasal bar. Inner lining is missing. A fantastic example worthy of the finest collections or Museum display.
Note; research has revealed that very few of the two-piece angled skull helmets exist.
