All iron surfaces exhibit light salt & pepper surface rust pitting. Standard 3rd model India Pattern all brass furniture. The slightly convex lock is marked "TOWER" (Tower of London), a "CROWN" over "GR" (King George III). The musket is in its original flintlock configuration. The stock is solid with a chip missing from the rear portion at the barrel tang, a few nicks, dings, and scratches from years of service. The left side of the stock is stamped "D G" ? The stock retains the original varnish. Correct steel button head ram rod. A good untouched example in good mechanical working order...
NOTE: It is unusual to find a musket retaining the original bayonet !
