An Antique Dutch Long Flintlock Holster Pistol, circa. early 18th century. 15.5", .55 caliber octagon-to-round steel barrel with a section of decorative engraving.  All steel furniture includes an openwork side-plate.  The pistol is in its original flintlock configuration.  The lock is unmarked and the face of the frizzen has been re-faced (75% now missing).  22.75" overall length.  The wood stock has had restoration which includes 11.5" section of fore-end replaced, missing small chips, some stress cracks, light scratches and dings from years of handling.  Horn tip wood ram rod.  An interesting long horse pistol in good mechanical working order.

NOTES ON RESTORATION: the barrel exhibits evidence of stretching (approx. 7.5" added), 11.5" of the fore-end replaced, lower and upper ram rod pipes replaced.  The stock has wood worm holes throughout and exhibits filled areas.
