A Good PAIR of Antique German Flintlock Pistols by IOH and KUCHENREUTER, circa. 18th Century.  6.25", .44 caliber octagon-to-round steel barrel with maker mark stamped on the top of breech, maker name in silver inlay "IOH and KUCHENREUTER".  The locks have sliding safetys and engraved "HESS-A-ZWEYBRCKER".  All brass furniture includes wonderful decorative chiseled and engraved high-relief depictions of foliage and hunt scenes.  The pistols are in original flintlock configuration.    11.5" overall length.  The wood stock has nice decorative carving around all parts, a small chip missing from the lower edge of the lock mortise, overall the stocks are solid with light scratches and dings from years of handling.  Both stocks have horn fore-ends.  Both have matching horn-tip wood ram rods.  A very nice pair of pistols !

One pistol is good mechanical working order.  The other pistol needs some adjustment.
