An Early Moroccan NIMCHA Sword with worked Silver Scabbard
An Early Antique Moroccan "NIMCHA" Sword with worked Silver Scabbard, circa. 18th century. 32.25" slightly curved single-edge blade with triple fuller and maker marked within "F E N D R A" with several armorer's marks. Typical worked iron guard with three downward-pointing quillons (some gold wash remaining) and a single upward-pointing quillon which serves as a knuckle guard with decorative silver overlay. The grip is of worked horn. The scabbard is decorative worked silver sheet. Measures: 40.25" overall.
