A Wonderful Antique Cased Set of English Flintlock Officer's/dueling pistols w/attachable shoulder stock, w/accessories by; "H.W. MORTIMER, LONDON GUN MAKER TO HIS MAJESTY", circa. 1782-1799, Box w/original trade label, circa. 1824. 10" .52 cal. heavy octagon smoothbore barrels w/thick walls; w/30-50% of original fading brown finish to patina w/some light erosion w/ maker's name and address engraved on the top flat near breech w/GOLD touch holes. Very fine engraved locks w/GOLD lined pans are bright w/sliding safety's (removed during the period of use) and marked (engraved); "H.W. MORTIMER" . The pair are mounted w/engraved blued iron furniture, w/single set triggers. Stocks have fine checkered grips w/typical carving in swirl around the butt that is Mortimer's trademark. Both stocks are solid w/scratches and dings from years of service and have the option accept the shoulder stock. 16" overall length. A very fine pair of English Officer's/dueling pistols in good mechanical working order.

Accessories include; ball pulling rod, cleaning rod, original bullet mold, powder/shot measure, balls, flints, tow, turn screw, and original 3-way powder flask.

PLEASE NOTE: The pistols are NOT original to this box but are a wonderful marriage considering they are made by the same Gun Making Family.
