A Good WILLIAM IV (1830-37) British Military Light Dragoon Pattern Flintlock Pistol for the Cavalry, c.1830. 8.75", .65 cal. (carbine bore) round steel barrel w/'CROWN'S' PROOF. Lock w/sliding safty and marked; "CROWN" over 'WR' (King William IV), and a small 'CROWN' over the 'BROAD ARROW' (Government Ownership mark). Brass regulation furniture. Stock is marked on the left side at the rear of the side plate; 'W PARKER'; has many inspector marks and the arsenal 'stores keeper' mark; 'B O'(Board Ordinance) over the 'Broad Arrow' located just above the tail of the lock plate; stock is solid w/light scratches and dings from years of service. 15.75" overall length. In good mechanical working order.
