A Good British East India Company Military Flintlock Pistol circa. 1820-1840. 9", .67 cal. round steel barrel w/ (2) PROOF Marks & arsenal Inspector marks; a 'CROWN' over '9' and a 'CROWN' over '10'. Lock is marked w/ the East India Company Rampant Lion arsenal mark and a 'CROWN' over '3' (inspector mark). There is a chip missing from under the lock plate, a filled area just in front of the lock mortise otherwise the stock is solid with scratches and dings from years of service. Regulation brass furniture w/the number '5' engraved on the right side of the brass nose cap. Captive ram rod. This is one of the last British military issue pattern flintlock pistols. 16" overall length. In good working order.
