A Fine Antique British Military Light Dragoon Flintlock Pistol, c.1770's. 9", .67 cal. round steel barrel w/(2) Tower proofs. Brass regulation furniture with a pleasing age patina. Stock is solid and is marked; stores keeper mark, "1786", a "CROWN" over "11" twice and "*" over "W" just behind the rear side nail. Lock marked; "TOWER", a "CROWN" over "GR" (King George III) and the government ownership mark; a "CROWN" over "BROAD ARROW". Brass tripped wood ram rod. 15" overall length. In good working order. This pistol may have seen service in the American Revolutionary War and the War or 1812.
