$ 1,750.00

An Interesting Italian Close Helmet of so-called 'SAVOYARD' Type, circa. Victorian period copy in the style of 1620-1640. Of light weight; skull formed in two halves joined by means of overlap along the crest of a low medial ridge. Front and Rear gorget plates. Peak and bevor attached to the skull by replacement revots; peak has attached visor over shaped eye sockets and stylized mouth. The bevor lays against the front gorget plate. The overall form is good and has double stitch holes around the edges to attach a cloth liner to protect the head. Many dents, areas of bending and scratches that adds character. Displays well.

Note; There is a good chance this helmet was used for parade use.
