A Good European Battle Flail / Morning Star of Medieval form

A Good Antique European Battle 'Flail' / 'Morning Star', circa. 14th-16th century and of Medieval form.  A very impressive example of a very scarce weapon (very few have survived).  The 'star' is composed of a wood core with inserted hand forged iron spikes (some loses of wood and spikes; wood worm holes).

Measures- Handle and haft length is 23", overall length is 38"
