A very nice example of an American Military Model 1819 Flintlock Pistol, circa. 1822.  10" .54 cal. round barrel; brass blade front sight and marked at breech; "J D J"(inspector), "P"(PROOF), and "U.S".  Lock has a sliding safety and is marked; "1822", "S. NORTH" an "EAGLE", "U S", and "MIDLtn, CONN."  Regulation steel furniture.  Captive ram rod.  Stock has an inspectors mark and is solid w/scratches and dings from years of service.  This pistol may have been re-converted and if so, very well done.  A very nice example.
