A fine and rare (pair) of English all brass Silver Mounted Queen Anne flintlock pistols by; "BUMFORD", 'LONDON', circa. 1750. 4.5", .57 cal. round three stage brass barrels w/cannon muzzels each marked w/Irish registry marks. Brass frames marked; "BUMFORD" underneath the frizzen w/(2) Tower private proof and the maker mark; "I (J) B" (John Bumford) and engraved on the top of breech; "LONDON". Stocks (in our opinion)are later period replacements, circa 1790-1800 (possibly American); w/plain sheet silver butt caps; both stocks are solid w/normal scratches and dings from years of service. 11.25" overall length. In good working order.
