A Fine Antique British Military Light Dragoon Flintlock Pistol, c.1770 - 1780's. 9", .67 cal. round steel barrel w/(2) Tower proofs. Brass regulation furniture w/pleasing age patina. Stock is solid w/an unusual round silver escutcheon inlaid at the top of wrist with a stylized "S"; stores keeper mark: "1800", a "CROWN" over "7" twice and "I*B" twice just behind the rear side nail. Lock marked; "TOWER", a "CROWN" over "GR" (King George III) and the government ownership mark; a "CROWN" over "BROAD ARROW". Brass tipped wood ram rod. 15" overall length. In good working mechanical order. This pistol may have seen service in the American Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.

Note; The top of the cock (hammer) had been broken of and repaired slightly shorter than it should be.
