An Antique Cased (PAIR) of English All Brass Box-lock Flint Pistols w/accessories by; TWIGG, circa. 1770-1785. 3" .44 cal. round brass turn-off barrels. Box-lock frames are engraved on each side w/panoply's-of-arms, 'TWIGG' and 'LONDON'. Flat sided walnut grip stocks are solid (one was once broke through and later mended) w/scratches and dings from years of handling. Pistols measure: 7.75" overall. Pistols are in good working order.
Period wood box lid is a bit warped w/bone inlaid key escutcheon, dove tail corners. Interior was (in our opinion) re-done a long time ago w/red velvet.
